Realising your Research Value Workshops

The Glucksman Library's Realising your Research Value programme will help researchers to keep up-to-date and make an impact in their chosen field using the latest technologies for managing and sharing their research. Several different workshops are run by the Library throughout the year. Each one is designed to suit subject specific requirements and experience levels. Details of upcoming workshops can be found below.

This Month's Workshops

EndNote Desktop Tutorial

EndNote Desktop Workshops (Introductory) Wednesday 19th September 10am to 11am (repeated at 11:30am) 

Venue: Large Training Room, Glucksman Library

This workshop is suitable for both beginners and EndNote users who wish to do a refresher course. The workshop will show you how to:

  • Create an EndNote Library
  • Add references to your Library
  • Organise references in your Library
  • Create bibliographies in Word
  • Edit citations
  • Choose bibliographic styles.

EndNote Desktop Workshop (Advanced) Wednesday 19th September 1 to 2pm 

This workshop is suitable for experienced users or those who have already completed an EndNote tutorial. The workshop will show you how to:

  • Use the Online Search mode in EndNote
  • Create a Group Set
  • Create a Smart Group
  • Import PDFs from a set of folders
  • Set up PDF handling preferences
  • Find duplicates and delete them
  • Set up a journals term lists
  • Customise output styles
  • Configure a bibliography in Word using CWYW
  • Use some additional features of EndNote Online including library sharing.
