This agreement as part of the IReL consortium, covers the period of the 1st March 2021 to the 31st December 2025. It will allow all accepted articles in all IEEE Journals from current UL staff or students to be made open access immediately upon publication.

Eligible authors: the corresponding author must be a current staff member or student of a participating institution at the time the article is accepted for publication. The corresponding author must ensure their correct affiliation details are known to the publisher at this time.
OA publishing license: choice of a CC-BY or CC-BY NC-ND license. Authors sign a non-exclusive publishing license with the publisher.

In the article submission process you must correctly identify your institution.
You should use your UL email address when submitting your article.
If your manuscript is accepted for publication, the publisher will give you the opportunity to make your article Open Access and apply a Creative Commons license. The publisher will then contact the participating institution to confirm your eligibility under the agreement.
