Thesis Preparation: Books about writing a thesis

The library helps students to refine their research topic, source material for a thesis and provides tools to manage your bibliography. Consult the library's thesis writing books as you prepare to work on your thesis.

Reading and material for your thesis

Writing a scholarly thesis is a major undertaking that requires hard work and adequate planning. In addition to a strong thesis statement and an appropriate methodology, the candidate needs to demonstrate that they have researched credible and verified sources and built a strong argument in their thesis.  The library has books that you can consult when you are preparing your thesis, academic guides to the processes and methods required for research design and thesis preparation. These books are written by academics with experience in supervising theses and will provide you with solid advice and step by step instructions to help you with each section of your thesis. Many are available as ebooks, accessible off campus and some are held in print only and can be borrowed when the library is open.
