Makerspace : What is the Makerspace?

The Glucksman Library Makerspace is available to all UL students, faculty, and staff to use for free, for academic or personal projects.

The library makerspace forms part of the Library Digital Edge and is a collaborative and dynamic space where people experiment, innovate, create, fail and start over again. 

The makerspace offers in-house access to a range of emerging technologies and tools, which include 3D printers, a 3D scanner, Cricut Maker & heat press, Arduino and MaKey MaKey.  In addition to the free in-house resources, we offer an extensive list of loanable equipment such as gimbals, 360-degree cameras, v-logging kits, voice recorders, tripods and much more, all of which are available to borrow at no charge, and take home.  We look forward to welcoming you into the space.

The Makerspace is located in Room GL1-035 on the first floor of the new library

Enter through the library security gates and turn left. Go through the double doors and take the first door on your left - take the stairs to the first floor and go through door and turn left.

Walk through double wooden doors, take the first right, pass out the lift and passing through one set of doors, walk to the end of the corridor.

Room GL1-035 is the corner room, on your right.
