Special Collections houses antiquarian prints, drawings, engravings, and maps. Some are stand-alone items, while others appear within named collections.
These items generally cover the period between the late eighteenth and early twentieth centuries, and subjects range from the depiction of Irish landscapes, to places and objects of archaeological and architectural interest.
Included are original eighteenth-century prints of Askeaton, Kilmallock, Adare, Thomond Bridge and many other notable Limerick antiquities, as well as maps of Limerick City and County dating from the seventeenth-century.
