The Glucksman Library Media Production Labs are located on the first floor of the library in The Edge, the hub of digital scholarship - where people are invited to experiment, innovate, collaborate and create, using a suite of emerging technologies.
These bookable, self-service spaces include two Audio Labs (one PC, one Mac) for recording audio presentations or podcasts, and a Greenscreen lab, to record video or experiement with wireless VR headsets (available to borrow from the Makerspace). These spaces are open to all UL students, faculty, and staff, to use for academic and personal projects.
An extensive list of loanable equipment such as cameras, tripods, VR headsets, and much more are available to borrow at no charge, to use within the media labs, or to take home.
Staff in the Makerspace (GL1-035) are available to assist with any technical queries, during makerspace opening hours.
Please note that these spaces are not fully soundproofed, professional recording studios.
The Media Prodution labs are self-service use spaces, are available for up to 2hours and must be booked in-advance.
How to book:
The Media Production rooms are intended to be self-service, however assistance is available during library makerspace opening hours in GL1-035.
The media production labs are located on the first floor of the library:
Enter through the library security gates and turn left. Go through the double doors and take the first door on your left - take the stairs to the first floor and go through door and turn left. Walk through double wooden doors, take the first right, pass out the lift, the three media production labs are on your right.
