Getting started with Audacity

There is a helpful video within this Library Guide to get you started using Audacity, or you can follow the steps below:

  1. Open Audacity and test your microphone levels.
  2. Record the podcast and Export as WAV or MP3.
  3. Save exported MP3/WAV (and/or Audacity project files) to your OneDrive, USB thumb drive, or other cloud storage system.
  4. Post it! (via Canvas, Panopto, YouTube, SoundCloud, Spotify, or other host of your choice)

If you would like to perform additional/more advanced edits than what you have time for in the Audio Lab, there are two PCs (no Mac), available in the Makerspace (GL1-035) on the first floor of the library.
