Third-Party Cookies

 

The "Illegal Institution" message is usually caused by your browser blocking third-party cookies.

Clearing the cache in your web browser (Chrome, Edge, Safari) and enabling third party cookies usually solves the issue

Mac users may also have to disable ‘Prevent Cross-Site Tracking’ in Safari settings. 

Safari

Enable third-party cookies in Safari 

  1. In the Safari app https://help.apple.com/assets/63B879E421AB1015D2090556/63B879E421AB1015D209055D/en_GB/6846073fc6f766d1ad3f66ae757c5e24.png  on your Mac, choose Safari > Settings, then click Privacy.
  2. Deselect “Block all cookies”.
  3. Websites, third parties and advertisers can store cookies and other data on your Mac.

 

iPhone/iPad (iOS 11)

 

On your iPhone or iPad, go to ‘Settings’

 

Select ‘Safari’

 

Under ‘Privacy & Security’, switch off ‘Prevent Cross-Site Tracking’

 

You may need to restart Safari for the new setting to take effect

 

Chrome

Enable third-party cookies in Chrome

  1. On your computer, open Chrome.
  2. At the top right, click More More  and then  Settings Settings .
  3. Under "Privacy and security," click Third Party Cookies.
  4. Select an option:
    1. Allow third-party cookies.
    2. Block third party cookies in Incognito.
    3. Block third-party cookies.
